Surprise email photo

I got a little surprise the other day in my email. A beautiful photo of a drunk girl laying on her friends couch. Who's socks are those anyway because they are definitely not mine! Thanks for sharing Carly! I can always count on you to catch me at my best.

Jamie

Jamie

I meet Jamie for the first time when I was 14 years old. It was the first day of our freshman year of high school and she was kind enough to give me the time when I asked for it. It took us about 15 minutes of talking to realize that she was the daughter of my father’s best friend in high school. Although we had never met our lives have been intertwined with each others long before either of us we’re ever born. Our parents grew up together; played together on the same gravel roads that she and I would eventually play on. Although we were friends in high school we both hung out with different crowds and didn’t become close until after we graduated. She eventually moved to central California (I won’t call it northern no matter what the map says) and got a job with the NASCAR circuit. That job eventual lead her to North Carolina and the love of her life Allen. I have the pleasure of being in their up coming wedding this may and can’t wait to celebrate her special day with her.

The dress I'll be wearing. I've got to lose a few pounds first!

Yellowstone = no showers?

So we're headed to Yellowstone, well actually I'm headed to North Carolina first but soon after that I'll be spending 7 glorious days with no showers, no makeup, no blow dryer, no TV, no phones, and no Internet. Just me, my man, and the kid stuck together in the freaking lovely wilderness. Yikes! This will be the first time in 15 years that I've actually gone camping camping. I'm so use to heading up to the cabin where there is electricity, running water, and hot showers that I'm not sure how I'm going to handle roughing it. This might be the make or break in Brian and I relationships.

He's been wanting to do this style of camping for years but I've always managed to come up with some excuse as to why we can't go. Don't get me wrong, there has been a couple of times we were have gone off for the weekend with no showers but a whole freaking week! unheard of.

I usual like places a little more exotic or historical then Yellowstone. Ha ha who am I kidding? I like anywhere with a pool and hot men serving me cocktails with little umbrellas in them. So yeah, Yellowstone isn't at the top of my list but I have to remind myself that venturing out can be life changing. Life changing as in I'll be single when I get back because this girl needs her a big bed and hot water to survive!

Mister British Hotness!

Did anyone else catch the news clip there a British journalist grabbed David beckhams junk today? just to see if his wife was exaggerating? I was cracking up... seriously who does that shit? If I was Victoria I'd chase that bitch down and claw her eyes out.

p.s. The reporter says Victoria is a liar. Thats not all David

Glee

Anyone else addicted to Glee? I seriously can't get enough of it. Which is weird for me since I'm not one to watch a lot of TV.I can't stand those pointless shows like Jersey Shores, The Hills, or any of that reality TV crap. Someone should just shoot all those hookers and get it over with. My all time favorite is the bachelor/ette. Who the hell goes on TV to find love? fame whores...thats who... With all the crap on tv these days I'm surprised that I actual found one I like. I guess I'm just a sucker for a musical.

Avatar = Stunning

We finally made it to Avatar over the weekend and I can’t say that it rocked my world but it came pretty dang close. The story line was a little dull for my taste but the visual effects were stunning. We choose to watch the movie in 3D going off the advice of some friends of ours. Brian was impressed but I came away with a pounding headache.

Blah

I'm pretty sure I could write an entire book on the things that I hate. Number one would be when people say "hate is such a strong word." what kind of crap is that? If I didn't hate it I wouldn't use the word hate. Anyway I started this rant with a purpose in mind. That purpose would be to say how much I hate being lied too!

For the last couple of weeks Brian and I have been trying to see Avatar. Its not even a movie I think I would be remotely interested in but everyone I know keeps gushing about how great it is. So we finally made the decision to go see it in 3D at the Eureka Theater. Mind you this is the day after the Earthquake and the theater parking lot if packed full of cars. After spending an eternity standing in what I thought was the line I realized that I was standing behind a bunch of people who didn't have enough common sense to move away from the ticket booth after they purchased their tickets. Once I finally made it up to the booth I was informed that the 5:20 showing had sold out.

Being the smart people that we are we decided to catch a Weds night showing in hopes that there would be less of a crowd. I picked Brian up from work at 4:30 and headed straight to the theater. Getting there 45 minutes early should have been plenty of time to get tickets right? Yeah well, it would have been but at the booth we were informed that the 3D projector broken during the Earthquake. I'm sorry what!?! We came the day after the Earthquake and you said the 5:20 viewing was all sold out. So who's lying to me? Twice now we've driving into Eureka to catch this stupid movie only to have to turn around and drive right back home. When I finally do see this stupid movie it better rock my socks off.

The Picture Game

I've played this picture game before but had so much fun with it that I decided to do it again.

The Rules: Go to the pictures folder on your computer ~ Choose your 6th file ~ Choose your 6Th picture ~ Tell us about it ~ Tag 6 more people ~ Carly, Melissa, Marcia, Katie, Tera, Alex.

Awwwwww.... Neuschwanstein or better known to those of us in America as the Disneyland Castle. We spent Easter Sunday here with about 1 million other tourist but the weather was good and the view was great. That morning we got up early and drove down to Fussen from Muchin. Although we got there around 9 am there was already a line forming and we had to wait until 10:20 to start our tour. Neuschwanstein is located on top of a hill and can only be reached by bus, horse drawn carriage, or walking(more like a hike). We choose to take the bus to save both some money and our energy.

At the top of the hill where the bus drops you off there is a path that leads to Mary's Bridge which has been there longer then the castle itself. It was made by Maximilian(Ludwig's father) and is located on the south side of the castle over Pöllat Gorge. On the bridge you have one of the most beautiful views of the castle. Most people choose to bypass this detour and head straight to the castle. Huge mistake if you ask me! The walk to the bridge isn't that far from the drop off point and you can't get a better view of the castle anywhere else. Having said that after we arrived at the view point we found out that Neuschwanstein was under repair, so we ended up with a bunch of great pictures of scaffolding. Most of our trip to Germany seemed to take place during major renovations which was slighly disappointing but I was in GERMANY so I can't complain

Sister's

I have two sisters whom are both extremely important to me. We have been each others best friends and worst enemies since the day we were born. If you don’t understand how sisters can love each other and want to kill each other in the same breath then I doubt you’ve ever had a sister.

When mom and dad don't understand you, you’ve always got a sister who will. They are the ones you can tell your deepest secrets too. They are the ones who take the wrap when it really should have been you or they can be the first to rat you out when you’ve crossed the line.

The best thing about having a sister is that I always have a friend. Someone to call when I need to cry, someone to share my laughter with.

How does anyone make it through life without a sister?

The big 30

I did it! I actually manged to get through my 30th birthday without having a meltdown. I've been dreading this day since I turned 25 and surprisingly it came and went without so much as a tear from me. I'm actually rather proud of myself for keeping it together. I had vivid imagines of myself laying in bed wailing for hours on end, smeared makeup, ratted hair, and boxes of donuts surrounding me. Now that its over I can relax for the next nine years.

I also wanted to thank all of you who made my birthday special! Your the reason I'm not covered in donut crumbs!

Earthquake

It had been awhile since I had felt a good earthquake. The last one I can remember taking place was in the early 90's(?) while on a camping trip with my family at Fish Lake. I remember it being intense and spooky much like the one today.

This was the first time I have ever exited the house during an earthquake. Usually I ride out the strom with a smile on my face but todays episode was so intense with the house shaking, lights flickering, and the computer crashing that I thought it was best to experience it all from the great outdoors.

I spent the afternoon in Eureka having lunch with Torie and Sara. Afterwards we walked around and this is some of the damage we came across

Logans Birthday

Its Monday and the holidays are over. I can't say that I'm sad to see them go. Its been a very stressful month for me and I'm hopeful that January will bring some piece(peace) and quite. I had a complete meltdown on Saturday morning. I'm not sure what brought it on but I was bawling like a baby by 11am Saturday morning. Brian's first thought was that I was pregnant. He elaborated on this thought after I gave him a death glare. He believes that no one cries in the morning for no reason unless they're pregnant. I'm not pregnant. In fact if I was I would probably still be crying.
I managed to pull it together around noon. Just in time to celebrate Logan's 13Th birthday at E & O Bowl. I suck at bowling...In fact we all sucked at bowling...

We went to The Ritz Teppanyaki and Sushi Bar for his birthday dinner. It was his first time being at a benihana style restaurant and he loved it. In the randomness that is our lives a magician happened to sit at our table that night and we also got a free card/coin show as well. I should have took more pictures but felt weird at the few that I did take.

new bedding

I've been wanting a new bed spread for awhile now and finally found one at bed bath and beyond that was in our price range. I'm amazed on how expensive bedding is and even more amazed at the number of people who purchase it at that price. Now if I was the only one sleeping in this bed I can guarantee you that this is not what I would have purchased. I'm like softer greens, yellows, & blues. I also love anything with tiny flowers embroidered on it. I have to remind myself anytime I'm purchasing something for the house that a man lives there too. I really can't except Brian to lay his head down on tiny pink flowers now can I?
