Every year The North Coast Aviation Society host World War II bombers. The public is invited to tour the three World War II bombers, the B-25 Mitchell, B-17 Flying Fortress and B-24 Liberator as well as the P-51, a fighter plane. Living close to the airport Brian and I have been lucky enough to witness the landing and departing of these planes but had never been able to take the tour because it usually takes place sometime during the week from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Last year they arrived a day early so we decided to go. At $12.00 a pop we both thought it was pretty inexpensive to be able to see a part of our history that up close and personal. Our only regret was that we didn't have the $400.00 it would have cost to beable to actually go up in one.
