Summer is officially over, at least here in Humboldt County it is. The rest of the state is still basking in glorious sunshine. For some reason I have the mind set that once Labor Day has arrived I need to bust out my winter clothes. This year I refuse to do that. I'm determined to drive the 45 minutes to warmer weather and that's exactly what I did this past weekend. A little trip with my best friend to visit Whiskeytown falls, Crystal Falls, Shasta Caverns, and Lewiston Lake. Although it was a quick trip it was just what I needed to keep myself from being fog depressed.
